The challenge
A multidisciplinary journal needed one place to run its publishing process, with separate access for the authors, reviewers and editors who each handle a manuscript at a different stage.
What we built
- Built separate workspaces for authors, reviewers, editors and site admins, with role-based routing.
- Modelled manuscripts with their files, co-authors, assigned reviewers and status history.
- Organised published work into volumes and issues on a public site with latest articles and author instructions.
- Gave site admins control of pages, sliders, journal metrics and settings without code changes.
