The challenge
Pharmacists read each prescription by hand, find every medicine in stock, price it, record the sale and update inventory themselves. That is slow, and every manual step can introduce an error.
What we built
- Used a vision model to extract patient, doctor and medicine details from a prescription image into structured data.
- Added a review screen, so a pharmacist corrects and confirms the AI's output before it is saved.
- Matched extracted medicines to inventory and filled an editable point-of-sale cart from the confirmed prescription.
- Deducted stock when a sale is confirmed, and generated invoices with printable PDF receipts.
